DAY 1: HANOI - HA GIANG
Pick up at your hotel after breakfast, at 7:30 am, we say goodbye to the bustling Hanoi and venture our way to the very Northern trip of Vietnam – Ha Giang. We stop en-route for photo shooting at times when passing through many of the magnificent views along the way. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant after driving about 4-5 hours. After lunch, continue our drive about 2 hours further till Ha Giang arrival. Upon arrival, walk through villages to experience the life of local people (2 hours walk). Check in your resort and relax.

DAY 2: HA GIANG - QUAN BA - DONG VAN
This morning we hike around the villages and through scenic rice terraces. During our hike, we take time to meet the local people at work, as they tend their seasonal crops and plow their paddies behind buffaloes. Continue our journey to Dong Van which will be filled with spectacular landscapes in the form of a series of long passes. En route, you will stop for lunch at the small and beautiful mountain village of Tam Son. Continue your visit to the majestic “King of the H’mong Palace”, a fortress built by a local chief, Vuong Chin Duc, who allied himself with French forces against the Viet Minh. Built in the 1900s, this palace was designed in the style of ancient Chinese architecture dating to the Qing era, and it was made from materials such as solid stone blocks, wood, and terracotta tiles. Keep our way to Dong Van, a beautiful town surrounded by its limestone rock formation. Upon arrival, check-in your hotel and overnight in Dong Van.

DAY 3: DONG VAN - MEO VAC - QUAN BA
After breakfast, around 7:30 am, make our way through the well-known mountain pass of Ma Pi Leng. The drive from Dong Van to Meo Vac will take about more than. On between drive, there will be a stop halfway where you will walk about one a half-hour in the beautiful valley. The scenic journey up through rugged outcrops to the beautiful town of Meo Vac. Set amongst towering mountains, Meo Vac is home to some H’mong and Bo Y and Tay farming families.
Have lunch in a local restaurant.
Get picked up by our tour guide and driver then continue your way from Meo Vac to Quan Ba (nearly 4 hours drive)- Stop on way to visit line weaving Lung Tam village where you see women are really dedicated to making beautiful line products.

DAY 4: QUAN BA - HOANG SU PHI
This morning we take a hike into a nearby village and into the mountains then onto Quan Ba Heaven Gate. The gate is the narrow slot between two peaks that are lowered and extended enough for the road to pass. Beautiful hiking trails and villagers greet us at Quan Ba. The terrain features verdant and small hillocks, seasonal farmlands, beautiful valley and is home to Dao ethnic people. During our hike, we take time to meet the locals going about daily life.
This is followed by our drive to Hoang Su Phi which takes about 5 hours. Arrive Hoang Su Phi. Check in the lodge.

DAY 5: HOANG SU PHI - BAC HA
After breakfast, follow your guide lead on a beautiful trek through rice terraces, forest, and ethnic villages around Hoang Su Phi. Have lunch at a local house. Transfer to Bac Ha.

DAY 6: BAC HA - LAO CAI - SAPA
If today is Saturday and Sunday, we will get two see some of the most beautiful markets of Bac Ha such as Can Cau market or Bac Ha Market. Continue to visit Hmong King Palace which was built in the 20th century – a unique construction work, which harmonizes the Oriental and Western architectural styles.
Afternoon transfer to Sapa (3h drive). Check-in and overnight in Sapa.

DAY 7: LAO CHAI - TA VAN VILLAGES - LAO CAI - HANOI
Transfer to Lao Chai Village. Start trekking from here to Ta Van village. Picnic Lunch on the way. Enjoy the landscape of Muong Hoa Valley and the trek through Hmong Village and Red Dao Village. Back to Sapa in the afternoon. Transfer back to Lao Cai for a night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on the night train.
