Overview

Some places have to be seen to be believed. Phong Nha – Ke Bang is one of them. This 3-day tour takes you deep into a UNESCO World Heritage park filled with ancient caves, underground rivers, and thick jungle.

Day one sets the tone. Cruise by boat into Phong Nha Cave and marvel at its glittering rock formations. Then step inside Paradise Cave. It is the longest dry cave in Asia. Nothing prepares you for how vast and beautiful it is.

Day two is all about action. Kayak across to Dark Cave. Zipline in. Splash around in the mud baths. Swim in an underground lake. In the afternoon, swap the cave for Nuoc Mooc Stream. Hang a hammock. Take a dip. Listen to the jungle around you.

It is wild, playful, and completely unforgettable.

Itinerary

DAY 01: DONG HOI - PHONG NHA CAVE - PARADISE CAVE

At 8:00 am, our tour guide and driver will pick you up in Dong Hoi and take you to Paradise Cave, the longest dry cave in Asia. It’s about a 80-minute drive from Dong Hoi. From the main gate, you’ll take a golf cart through the jungle for about a mile to reach the cave entrance. The view along the way is amazing.

At 12:30 pm, we’ll have lunch at a local restaurant in Phong Nha village. You’ll get to try traditional Vietnamese food. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance.

After lunch, at 1:30 pm, we’ll head to Phong Nha Cave. You’ll take a 25-minute boat ride to the cave, which is known for its underground river. Once inside, you’ll explore about 300 meters of the cave on foot and then return by boat. The cave is famous for its stunning rock formations such as the “Lion,” the “Fairy Caves,” the “Royal Court,” and the “Buddha.”

Finally, at 5:00 pm, we’ll take you back to your hotel in Dong Hoi, where the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Have a great time exploring!

DAY 02: DONG HOI - DARK CAVE - NUOC MOOC STREAM

Breakfast at your hotel. Meet up with our driver and tour guide again at the hotel lobby. Today, spend a full day to explore Dark Cave and Nuoc Mooc Stream.

Dark cave is the true experience, kayaking over the river to get there, walking through the dark with only the head touching on your mining helmet, having a mud fight in the mud baths deep in the cave and then washing clean with a swim in the lake inside the cave.

Afternoon is the time for Nuoc Mooc Stream – a paradise on Earth covered by the jungle, resembled a glittering green silk scarf. Listening to the birds twit, having hammock by the stream, kayaking or swimming are the main activites here.

DAY 03: DONG HOI DEPARTURE

Breakfast at your hotel. Some free time is offered to discover the city of Dong Hoi on your own before hotel check-out time at 12:00 pm. Tour ends here and we are happy to support you with your onward adventures to Hue, Ninh Binh, etc.
