First, you explore Ninh Binh. People often call it “Halong on land.” Towering limestone peaks rise from green rice paddies and calm rivers. A rowboat glides you through Tam Coc, past hidden caves and stunning valley views. Then, at Bai Dinh Pagoda, you discover the largest Buddhist complex in all of Vietnam.

Next, you head to Halong Bay. Thousands of dramatic islands rise from the emerald water. The scenery is jaw-dropping at every turn. Because you stay overnight on a cruise, you also get to watch the sunset from the deck and wake up to the bay at dawn.

Together, these two destinations show the very best of northern Vietnam in just three days.

Itinerary

DAY 1: HANOI - BAI DINH -TAM COC

Start your adventure in Hanoi, travel to Tam Coc known for its stunning karst landscapes, serene waterways, and hidden caves. Enjoy a boat ride through the lush, verdant scenery before heading to Bai Dinh Pagoda, the largest Buddhist complex in Vietnam. Marvel at its magnificent architecture and serene atmosphere, offering a perfect end to your cultural and spiritual exploration.

DAY 2: NINH BINH - HALONG BAY

After breakfast, at around 8.00 am, we will pick you up to embark on a journey to the mesmerizing Halong Bay.

On arrival, you are welcomed on board and served a mouth-watering lunch while cruising through the bay. Depending on which cruise you choose, the detailed itinerary will include a visit karst cave, kayaking (an extra option on most of the boats, some boat has kayaking included), swimming in crystal water, enjoying the landscape, or relaxing at the sundeck. The day will end with a sumptuous dinner on board, and you will spend the night under the starry sky.

DAY 3: HALONG BAY - HANOI

Wake up on the bay to the sounds of waves, fresh air, and breeze. A brand new day comes. Following breakfast, you can discover a breathtaking limestone grotto before returning to the boat for a scenic cruise back to the dock.

Your boat will arrive at the harbor by 11:30 am, and your driver is waiting to bring you back to Hanoi. End of services.
