Central Vietnam holds two of the most charming destinations in the whole country. This 5-day central Vietnam tour lets you experience both at a relaxed and enjoyable pace.

Hue is Vietnam’s former royal capital. Here, centuries of imperial history come alive through grand citadels, royal tombs, ancient pagodas, and dragon boat cruises on the Perfume River. It is elegant, peaceful, and deeply fascinating.

From there, the scenic Hai Van Pass connects you to Hoi An. The drive alone is worth the trip. On one side, the ocean sparkles. On the other hand, green mountains roll into the clouds.

Hoi An is a world apart. Lantern-lit streets, centuries-old merchant houses, and a laid-back riverside atmosphere make it one of the most beloved towns in all of Asia. Whether you love history, food, or shopping, this place has it all.

DAY 1: HUE ARRIVAL

Welcome to Hue, a quiet and charming city steeped in rich history. Hue was the seat of the last dynasty of Vietnam, making it a historically significant destination.

Upon arrival at the Hue airport, you will be met by a driver who will transfer you directly to your hotel. Once you’ve checked in, you’ll have the rest of the day free to settle in and explore your surroundings before overnighting in Hue.

DAY 2: HUE CITY TOUR

Breakfast in the hotel and meet up with our local guide again to start the day exploring the charms of The Citadel in this former Imperial City with many well-preserved royal monuments in Hue. Board a dragon boat to cruise the Perfume River and stop at Thien Mu Pagoda to visit one of the most ancient and historic Buddhist places. After lunch served in a local restaurant, continue to visit the most famous Tu Duc tomb and Hue’s biggest Dong Ba Market.

DAY 3: HUE - HOI AN

Followed by the Ancient Citadel is an ancient town, Hoi An. After a rewarding drive through the scenic Ocean Clouds Mountain Pass (Hai Van pass), you could have 2 options: a visit to Golden Bridge Vietnam in Ba Na Hills, Da Nang, or a stop at Cham Museum and Marble Mountains in Da Nang. Then you will arrive at Hoi An. Check into the hotel and have leisure time.

DAY 4: HOI AN WALKING TOUR

A half day wandering through the picturesque streets of this 16th-century trading port, where the buildings remind us of its Chinese, Japanese, French, and Vietnamese architectural styles; Visit the Chinese Embassy Halls, Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda & Tan Ky House. The afternoon will be free time for shopping or relaxing.
