Da Nang Beach Break 4 Days

Upon arrival at Da Nang International Airport, our driver will be waiting to provide transport (20 minutes) to the beachfront resort near the “ancient town” of Hoi An.

The rest of day is free at leisure to relax by the pool or on the sandy beach. Overnight in Da Nang.

This morning, you will take a walk to Hoi An Ancient City and spend a half day joining the hands-on cooking class to learn how to cook some authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

Start with a visit to Hoi An’s colorful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds, and aromas of this busy market. You will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.

You board the boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.

On arrival, you explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, you sit down and eat what you have cooked.

Back to the town and explore the Ancient Town, which has a distinct Chinese atmosphere with low, tile-roofed houses and narrow streets. The original structure of some of these streets still remain almost fully intact. All the houses were made of rare wood and decorated with colorful lacquered details and panels engraved with Chinese characters.

You will visit the Kwan Temple, Phuc Kien Chinese Assembly Hall, Tan Ky Old House, Japanese Cover Bridge, and Historic & Cultural Museum in Hoi An.

Back to your resort after sightseeing or spend the evening on your own in the town.

Visiting around the Hoi An old town by a small sampan rowed by local people in December

After breakfast, you take the half-day private tour to My Son, the sanctuary of Cham culture. You will walk into the ruins of ancient My Son holy land to recall the Champa people’s glory days dating from the 4th to the 13th century. A short Cham dance performance is included.

The afternoon is beach time.

Spend the morning at leisure before checking out (check-out time is 12:00 pm) and getting transferred to Da Nang Airport for the onward flight. End services.
