A tour of Vietnam
Indochina voyages were exactly as described. They looked after us extremely well and we soon were reassured that we would be looked after every step of the way. At every airport we were greeted by a friendly face who safety delivered is to our hotel and were totally reliable in letting us know arrangements for the next stage of the holiday.
The only word of advice I would give to anyone visiting Vietnam is to think twice before going to Sapa. At present there is a major road expansion underway to access the remote villages which makes access difficult and time consuming. Work is being carried out with the road open to traffic. The journey to Sapa is 5 hours on a poor road.
The local villagers are poor and do pester – the organised ‘trek’ was actually quite an easy walk ( though walking boots were necessary.)
I was blown away by the beauty of both the country and the people and would definitely recommend a holiday in Vietnam to anyone.
