Thien Duong Cave, a natural wonder of Quang Binh Province

Besides the famous Phong Nha Cave, recently Quang Binh is well-known for its unique cave named Thien Duong. Discovered in 2005 by a local citizen, Paradise Cave (Thien Duong ) is now considered to be the longest cave in Asia.

According to some of the British cave explorers, Paradise cave is 31 km long which made it the longest cave in Asia. Recently it is opened and well guided for some part and allow more travelers to come in and explore the beauty it has to offer.

Located in the Phong Nha – Ke Bang park, Thien Duong Cave was popular with its most beautiful and spectacular stalactites with natural primitive features, altogether makes it a landscape painting. On setting foot into the cave, tourists may feel they are in an air-conditioned room; this feature was notable for the person who discovered the cave.

Unlike other places of interests, the whole of the cave’s structure has been preserved intact. While discovering the cave following the longest wooden bridge, visitors will be surprised with a series of white crystal stalactites resembling glass pillars and many other spectacular formations. Some of the cave’s rock formations resemble familiar images, such as a fairy or a long hair of a woman.

The more visitors go into the cave, the more pleasant they will feel since the temperature remains stable inside. It gets cool in the summer and warm in the winter, some may want to have their jacket on during summer if they are visiting the cave. The stairs leading downwards the cave are made from wood. They are firmly-built and one kilometer long.

If tourists wish to discover deeper into the cave, they need to spend nearly one day along with special equipment. Usually foreigners tend to scuba-diving to explore new creatures hidden, but some prefer boats to serve their needs.

Being called with the name “Royal palace underground”, Thien Duong cave is one of the most magnificent and mysterious in the world. Since 2010, the cave has attracted millions of tourists to come and explore.
Although some people may compare Thien Duong Cave with Phong Nha Cave, the former is still has its own signature features because it is a dry cave, while the latter is a wet one. Since Quang Binh discovered Paradise cave, this land converges the best two caves in the country.
