Held on February 17th-19th (according to the lunar calendar), the Buddhist festival, which honors Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva while praying for peace and prosperity, is regarded as one of Viet Nam’s fifteen major ritual events, the festival. The festival includes religious ceremonies and activities, including calligraphy performances and boat races, photo and painting exhibitions, a Zen-tea exhibition, a candle-lit flower release and a prayer ceremony.
